Sonali phoghat was drugged at a party, according to Goa police.Numerous blunt injuries were discovered on her body after death.two of the leader of bjp in Haryana's aides were detained on Thursday.

The arrest came on Thursday evening after a postmortem revealed "multiple blunt force injuries" on her body.

Poghat was visiting the western state of Goa when she died on 22August. Initial reports said that she had died with cardiac arrest.but her family disputed the claim and associates of murder naming two of her assistant,her brother alleged that they had blackmealing her with an explicit video and had raped and murdered her.

He told  NDTV news channel that the men had threatened to destroy his sister's political career. Had seized some of her personal belongings, including property records and ATM.

According to the times of India,a forensic expert stated that the women's wound were recent and may have been inflicted by fist strikes or due to a fall.

Phoghat,a native of the northern states of haryana,served as a member of the Bharatiya Janata party,which rules india.she ran as a Bjp candidate in 2019 state assembly elections,but she was unsuccessful.

Phoghat had afoothold in both the Indian entertainment business and politics.she was a well liked contestant on the Indian version of the popular American show Big Brother,BIG BOSS, and online series.

She was detained in 2020 for assaulting a government official with her shoes,however she was eventually freed on bond.she said that he had spoken to her in an indecent or insulting manner.
